Trattoria Fanny just opened in February, at the corner of Deering Ave. and Congress St. in Portland's West End. True to our name, we are a real "trattoria," a simple, casual, affordable resturant where the food is all traditional Italian home cooking. Fanny Levi was the grandmother of owner David Levi, who is also the chef/owner of Vinland. Born in Milan, Fanny escaped to NYC in 1939 with her husband and three children (with two more still to come). Fanny was a fantastic home cook, and taught all she knew to the next generation. This restaurant is an homage to her and to all the Italian grandmothers who keep our culture alive and our bellies full with good, honest, delicious food.

We're also excited to offer an all-Italian list of natural wines along with fantastic local beers on tap.
