Restaurant Notes:

Trade the tourist traps for lobster traps.  The Porthole has served as a local staple since 1929.  Originally a lobsterman hangout only serving breakfast, we have stuck closely to our roots of supporting the working waterfront. 

We set the standard for the Portland experience and true down-east ambience.  Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner in our rustic diner-like interirror, or take advantage of early spring weather with a wharf-side dining experience on our open deck.


We will have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options during restaurant week. Ask your server for suggestions or please feel free to call ahead.
