$45 per person, each guest chooses *three* items from the below menu (exclusive of tax & gratuity). Dishes are intended to be shared, and are listed from smallest to largest in size (with the exception of dessert):

-MARINATED BEET SALAD: whipped feta, blood orange gel, spiced pepitas

-SMOKED BLUEFISH RILLETTES: pickled cucumbers, pink peppercorns, tinder heart toast

-POTATO DUMPLINGS: maple sherry ponzu, spiced peanuts, crispy ginger, garden herbs

-SMOKED CELERY ROOT BISQUE: white truffle croutons, chive oil, walnut-chorizo vinaigrette

-LOCAL MUSSELS: downeast cider, whole grain mustard, crème fraîche, herbs, tinder hearth toast

-SCHNITZEL: red curry, roasted delicata squash, edamame, sunny egg, choice of eggplant -or- pork

-ARTISANAL CHEESE PLATE: apricot-riesling purée, caraway crackers

-BROWN BUTTER CAKE: grand marnier-orange ice cream, dulce de leche

-BAVARIAN CHOCOLATE TERRINE: anise ice cream, luxardo cherries, cocoa nibs

Restaurant Notes:

The Barncastle Hotel and Restaurant serves Alsatian-inspired cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients. Chef Owen Royce-Nagel and his wife, both Sommelier- and Cicerone-certified, Lizzie Szczepaniak, have been crafting their concept and menu over the last two decades all across the world. Dishes are intended to be shared and bread (from Tinder Hearth!) is meant to be broken in their cozy dining room and pub. The beverage program features a natural and biodynamic wine list, classic cocktails, and craft Maine beer. Located in the heart of the Blue Hill Peninsula, in between Camden and Acadia National Park, it is the perfect place to gather with friends and family.


We will have vegetarian and gluten free options during restaurant week. Ask your server for suggestions or please feel free to call ahead.
